New York - Day 2

Friday, July 31st

This was a day of sightseeing and lots of walking.  We grabbed a light breakfast at the hotel and then headed to Times Square.  Once there we bought tickets for the 3 hour Circle Line Boat tour.  They told us we had plenty of time to make it before the boat left for the tour and that it was only a 10 minute walk.  Of course, I think that was for a non-pregnant person.  I felt like dying by the time I got there, but at least I had 3 hours to sit and recuperate.  We went around the entire island of Manhattan and saw lots of fabulous sights.  Here are a few.

Then we headed to the subway and purchased passes.  The best idea yet.  Only you sometimes have to go down 3 flights of stairs to get to the train.  My favorite stops were the ones with escalators.  Then we decided to go to the World Trade Center site.  It was amazing. 

 

 

 

 

I was dog tired after that.  So we headed back towards the hotel.  We did stop in Times Square and visit the Toys R Us store. 

I will have to update later when I can remember what else we did that day.  I am pretty sure that dinner was at a place across the street from our hotel because (1) we were so tired and (2) it was raining and we did not feel like walking very far.
