We left Dallas on a Thursday, July 30th. Luckily, my sister has a client in NY that offered to have her driver pick us up at the airport and take us to the hotel. What a lifesaver!! We checked into the hotel, the Sheraton New York, which was right down the street from Times Square. We decided to walk around the city since we did not get there until about 3:30.

We also managed to find the Hershey store and the M&Ms store.
We walked and walked and walked. 
We went in a church that I will have to figure out later what it was. We walked past Trump Tower. 
We even found this store. But don't worry boys, we did not even go in.
We walked all the way to FAO Schwarz and then to Serendipity. The wait was an hour, so we decided to go across the street and eat dinner first. By the time we were done we were ready for dessert at Serendipity. The pictures of the dessert are on my phone and I have not gotten them off yet.
My feet are throbbing and swollen, so I am going to put them up and continue with the trip tomorrow evening.
