Too much going on...

I clearly have too many projects going on right now. I am still trying to catch up on my scrapbook (I know they say to do the current pictures, but if I do that then I might end up on the wrong page or something). I just got my new chain in to make more jewelry. I got new stamps from Stampin' Up to make Christmas cards. I also just got my fabric in to make drapes for the living room to go with the new couches. Then there are my quilts. Not to mention all the remodeling projects.

So, last night we went to Home Depot to purchase items to make the cornice board for the living room. We came away with a staple gun, staples, L-brackets, a paint roller extender, a circular saw, grill tools, and paint brushes. Notice there is no wood in that list. The key element for building a cornice board. I never thought building a cornice board could be this difficult. At this point in time I am wishing that Ty from Trading Spaces would whisk himself into my garage and make one. The problem is that we have three windows right together. And I would like one long solid cornice board to make it look like one window. But do they make 11 ft. long plywood? No, or course not. Nothing is ever simple. The next question is do I actually think that 1/2 inch plywood would have enough support for and 11 foot long cornice board? Probably not. Then on the way out of Home Depot we spot wood shelving. One solid piece of wood that is 1 inch thick and 12 feet long. The problem here you ask. It is only 12 inches wide. In and ideal world it would be 16 inches wide. (My windows are 84 inches tall.) If anyone has any suggestions please e-mail me.

Check back for the next dilemma entitled "Now that the cornice board is made how are we going to hang it on the wall?".
