Weekend in Houston

We left on Friday the 13th to drive down to Houston to visit our friends, Eric & Misty. Saturday we drove down to Galvaston to take Garrett and Cara to the beach. This was the first time for both of them. The water was disgusting, but the kids had a great time.

We were only at the beach for an hour. We were all starving so it was time to go. Garrett ended up with a red face because he rubbed sand all over his face. I guess we have to do the beach more often so he can figure out what to do.

After the beach we headed to Misty's mom's house. She made us a fabulous lunch! We made it back home in time to eat dinner and for Eric to make it to his gig.

I was introduced to the world of Stampin' Up this weekend. I have done some stamping in the past, but not anything very in depth. Eric's mom came over and we got to make cards and play with all her stamps. We even made it to a scrapbooking store on Sunday. I got lots of fun new stuff and it even motivated me to finish my pregnancy scrapbook. I've got a ways to go to catch up to our current life.

Sunday, Garrett and Cara also got to play outside in the sprinkler and pool. And Monday we went to see the two houses that Eric and Misty were trying to decide between buying.

We had a really great weekend!! Thanks to Eric and Misty for letting us crash at their house.
