At least during the daytime. We started this on Sunday. It was getting harder and harder to get G to give me his paci. I used to be able to ask for it and he would just give it to me. Lately he has been refusing. So Sunday I told him that big boys don't need pacies. He did have it during his nap on Sunday, but I don't believe that he has had it while at daycare. He gets it at night when it is time for bed and then we put it in the drawer when he gets up in the morning. This morning he actually put it in the drawer without me asking him too. To help this along we have been trading pacies for new books. However, I am about to run out of new books.

James went from pacifier only at night to no pacifier when we forgot it on a trip to Houston. He'd only been allowed to have it at night for about 10 months, so it wasn't as big a transition for us (him) to give it up all the way. Maybe the next time you go on a trip, "forget" it and just take the leap all of a sudden for the final paci-weaning. Just an idea for the future...
Hey Guys,
Brayden was a total binky "junkie." She had it ALL the time. One night, Roger told her that big girls don't need binkies. I added that the "Binky Fairy" would visit her that night to collect all of her binkies and deliver them to a baby who needed them. It worked!! She asked for it a couple of times, but then never again! Good luck!
