On April 25th, we took G to Six Flags for the first time. Our friend, Justin, was running a band contest that weekend and had to do the awards show that night at Six Flags. It was the best way to go to Six Flags. We were able to go through the employee entrance, park right next to the Texas Giant and the band shell for free, and get in for free. Nathan took G on his first ride on the Runaway Mini Mine Train.
He had a great time. Then we walked around until we hit the Carousel. After that, we headed to the train that goes around the park. G was freaked out by the extremely loud whistle. But that was his favorite ride of the night. After a trip around the park, Justin and Ashley joined us. G, Nathan, and Ashley all went on the log flume ride. G loved crashing into the sides and splashing in the water. We grabbed a bite to eat, rode the mine train one more time, and headed home. We were only there for a few hours, but at least it was free. I think he probably needs to be a little older before we actually pay the entrance fee and endure the park during a hot day.
