Weekend news

Friday we took Garrett back to the ENT. He got his hearing checked and we picked up his new ear plugs. Everything looks great!

Garrett is walking everywhere now. He is just nonstop. Still trying to consider whether or not we want the baby gates. We have most of the cabinets locked some way now. It makes it a little more tedious to put away dishes.

For anyone who does not know, Nathan is the head director at a middle school with just 7th and 8th graders. He decided to enter his top band into the Honor Band contest. (You are allowed to make a recording a certain number of times. You pick the best recording and send it in. Then there is a set day that the tapes are judged. Sort of like UIL, but with tapes instead of live performances.) Anyway, there is more to it than that, but that is the concept. Well, Nathan's region competition was this past saturday. His band placed first!!! He is so excited! Now they move on to the area competition. That will take place on the 17th. Garrett and I are so proud of him and the kids.

Not much else going on. Nathan and I are working VBS which starts on Sunday. Then the next big thing is Garrett's first birthday party.
