July 21-25 we were lucky enough to go to Vegas without the children! We went with our wonderful friends, Justin and Ashley. My parents even managed to get us free rooms at the Flamingo.
We arrived late on Wednesday night and decided to walk around a bit after checking into the hotel. We even managed to watch the fountains at the Bellagio.
We ate a midnight meal at the hotel and headed to bed after that.

Random hotel pictures
We walked around all day. There were so many casinos that the ones we went to on which day are all running together. I only know what we did if I have a picture of it. So the only thing that I know that we did that day was go to see Tony & Tina’s wedding. (Not an actual wedding. This was a show. And highly entertaining!)
Here we are with the groom.
I don’t think that I can describe the things that we saw in that show on here. Just know that it was an Italian wedding. I will leave you with a couple more pictures though. They are pics of us taken with the actors that we sat with. Very interesting people.
And a lovely nighttime photo of the Eiffel Tower taken right before we boarded a very long bus ride to downtown. Save your self the trouble. Don’t go downtown.
Friday -
Today we did the opposite end of the strip than we did the day before. That much I remember. We went to Caesar’s Palace, MGM, the aquarium, etc.
Friday night we went to a fabulous place to eat dinner. Have to look that one up though. And then we went to see a Cirque de Soleil show, La Reve.
Before the show…
After the show…
Saturday – Justin and Ashley left this day to go home. Nathan and I saw some things we had missed, saw the Price is Right show, rode the gondola, spent a lot of time in the casino trying to kill time, and saw the Blue Man Group.
Sunday – time to go home!!
We actually managed to fly over the Grand Canyon on the way home.
