First Day of Kindergarten

Garrett’s first day was August 23rd.  Nathan and I were both able to take him to school.  

Here are G and Nathan walking to school from the car.

And here comes the point where we enter the classroom and G realizes that Nathan and I can’t stay with him all day.  He does not have any friends from daycare or church that are in his new class.  So, he is less than excited.  I am sure you will be able to tell that in the next pictures.


But he managed to overcome. 

His teacher, Mrs. Daniel, had everything organized and ready for their first day.  I only walked him to his room one more day after this.  Then I dropped him off at the door for the rest of that week.  Since that time, G has decided he wanted to ride the daycare bus to school.  So, now he is officially a kindergartener and ready to take on the world!

Here he is a couple of days later doing his first homework assignment with his daddy.
