Christmas Eve

I am finally catching up on the posts I have missed.  We left Texas on the night of December 22nd to head to Red River.  We drove through the night.  That was really rough for Nathan and I, but worked really well for the boys since they slept most of the trip.

Everyone arrived by the afternoon of the 23rd.  The 24th was tree cutting day.  DSC_0018Garrett started out the day by pelting Nathan in the head with a snowball.  DSC_0022This was Jackson’s first trip to Red River.  He seemed to enjoy himself, other than the fact that he had a horrible cold with tons of congestion.

Nathan, Matt, Susan, all the kids except Jack, and I went out to find the tree and cut it down.  Each of the kids took a turn helping Matt with sawing the tree.

We took the tree home and decorated it.

Then that night we read the Night Before Christmas.
