We took the kids to Boo at the Zoo. Luckily, the night we went was not cold. We even talked Justin & Ashley into going along with us.
We finally got Garrett to hold Avery. For 4 months he has not wanted to admit that she even exists. She bribed him with a Hungry Hungry Hippo game!
Here the boys are ready to go into the zoo. We had Mr. Incredible and Baby Jack Jack. Some days Jackson truly has that personality.
Garrett had a great time trick or treating and seeing most of the animals. He was scared of the ones that were a little closer to him. At one point G was trying to walk while covering his eyes with his hands.
The hippos freaked him out when they made some noises.
In one part of the zoo there were people dressed up on stilts. G was almost afraid of these people as much as he was the animals. Guess we should go to the zoo more next summer so he is not so freaked out.
I guess the dude does look pretty scary.
Nathan took G out trick or treating while J and I stayed in to hand out candy. We had tons of kids this year. I went through 6 bags of candy, some of the candy from the zoo, and some of G's candy from trick or treating. It was insane. Of course, G got scared by some of the neighbor's more elaborate decorations and came home pretty quickly. But he probably had more fun helping me hand out candy.
For his school party he decided to dress up as a fireman. No carnival this year due to all the flu problems. But he told me he had fun at his party.
