The surgery on Friday went well. It only took 20 minutes. He hated having the IV in and the monitor on his toe. We were out of there about 3:00. When we got home all he wanted to do was eat. As soon as he finished something he wanted something else. He had a ton of congestion from the surgery, so Friday night was rough. He was up every two hours or so. Saturday and Sunday he did not eat too much. He ran a fever on Saturday. And we took him off the narcotics that day.
Monday he was ok to go to school. Although it did not last too long. They called saying he was shaking and crying and falling asleep standing up. We took him to the pediatrician just to check on the dehydration worries. (He has not been producing his normal amount of wet diapers.) After Friday's horrible night he started sleeping pretty well. Tuesday night started the bad sleeping again. He pretty much does not want to get up in the mornings and go to school.
Thursday he has a horrible day. He does not really eat or drink anything all day. And he has a pretty rough night of sleeping. I don't think that his throat is really bothering him at this point. I think it is all the congestion he has. And he is not drinking anything to help get rid of it.
I called to check on him today and he is doing much better. They tell me he is acting like he feels better and he ate really well at lunch. Hopefully once the weekend is over he will be feeling much better.
