Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone!

Our nieces turned one on December 30. Their first party was at day care where they each managed to eat an entire cupcake. Their big party was at the Grandparent's house, where they ate even more cake and icing. I believe that they were up well into the night.

Our New Year's Eve was spent at home. We did not have a desire to be out on the road with the crazies. Nathan spent the evening painting trim and caulking. And I spent most of the evening on the couch.

New Year's Day was full of excitement! we woke up in time to watch the Rose Parade. (My favorite parade!) There was only one team playing this year in the Cotton Bowl, so we decided to bypass that game. I think that this is the best day of the year. There is college football all day long. In the middle of all that football was the game we have been waiting for, the Rose Bowl. Overall, this was a great game with a very disappointing ending. To top off the evening we had a Christmas party at the Wood's house. (No, not our house. The other Wood's house.) We had tons of food and a Bunko extravaganza. It took us all day Sunday to recooperate from all the excitement.

My next doctor's appointment is this Wednesday. I believe that we still have another month until we find out our baby's gender, but I will keep you updated.

I hope everyone has had a great start to their New Year. Nathan and I wish you all a year full of joy.
